GM U.S. - SAVI (Service Advisor Vehicle Interface)
The SAVI program is designed to speed up the write-up process by wirelessly capturing data from the vehicle with a dongle device and pulling this information into the Service Order. This is available in version 10.14.11 and later.
Benefits of this program include:
-
Ability to easily see the percentages on Oil Life, Engine Air Filter, and Diesel Exhaust, as well as Tire Pressure PSI values, Engine light indicator and DTC Codes.
How-To
While creating the new Service Order, Advisors can go directly to
GM Global Warranty History
or
GM Dashboard
from the right menu to search for open recalls. The SAVI data has been added to this process.

Use the
Tire Pressure
drilldown to view PSI values:
Dealers using PBS as a Service Lane provider will have an additional benefit. Starting the MPVI from GM Dashboards will load the SAVI data for mileage, oil life percentage, and PSI values.
After exiting the lookup windows, the mileage on the Service Order will automatically update if the SAVI record is within 24 hours.
If a SAVI device was not plugged into the vehicle, or the reading was not successful, the
Check In
date will display a red outline to indicate a warning.
If the SAVI record is more than 24 hours old, the red outline will appear. This will warn the Advisor if a current SAVI read was not taken successfully. The mileage on the Service Order and the data on the MPVI will not update if the SAVI record is more than 24 hours old.
Click on
SAVI History
from the right menu to view historical SAVI records which is accessible in both Service Orders and Appointments. This will pull the last year of SAVI reads.
