10.20 User Group Assignment

KB 2878, Release Note, Workplan, 7/24/2024

With the introduction of the 10.20 upgrade, Dealerships gain the ability to easily create and modify User Groups. These flexible Groups can then be assigned to Appointments, Reminders, and Emails, streamlining communication and bolstering support for the Dealership's operational workflows and internal information sharing. These upgraded functionalities are available starting from version 10.20.0 and onwards.

User Maintenance - User Group Permission

Users with the Add or Edit Maintenance Items permission can utilize User Group maintenance functionalities.

To access this permission, follow the path: Employee > User Maintenance > Users > Select User > General Security tab > Workplan > Add or Edit Maintenance Items

User Group Maintenance

By default, User Groups Maintenance will encompass all group chat user groups. Existing groups can be modified, while new groups can be created as well.

To access User Groups, follow the path: System > Workplan > Maintenance > User Groups

In the Group maintenance window, the User Name, access Type, and primary Email address sourced from the User profile will be displayed.

User Group Assignment

User Groups can be distinguished by the Type column and can be incorporated into Appointments, Reminders, and Emails.

When User Groups are added to emails, the email address shown on the User Group maintenance page, sourced from the User profile, will serve as the linked address for the email.
